Indofuturism
In the context of jugaad innovation, the zeitgeist reflects a growing recognition of the importance of resourcefulness and frugality in problem-solving, as individuals and communities embrace innovative, cost-effective solutions to
address challenges in their daily lives. The term Indofuturism seems like a marker for this new frontier, in a state of climate
crisis and in a post-Pandemic world, using upcycled materials to generate armor from nature or other factors
becomes increasingly important
Indofuturism is an artistic and intellectual movement that blends the cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent with futuristic visions. It envisions a future where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously, drawing inspiration from mythology, science fiction, and spirituality. Through art, literature, and philosophy, Indofuturism challenges conventional norms, celebrates diversity, and explores new possibilities for a technologically advanced yet culturally rich society. I would like to expand on this to include Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, even Guyana so as not to limit this movement and create an inclusive and shared South Asian diaspora.
